America Breathes 2028™ has meant more to me than simply building a website or planning a tour. It grew from a belief that our country needs more listening, more conversation, and practical ideas that can help people who too often feel forgotten. I still believe in the Whistle Stop Tour, the Stable Address Initiative, and the idea of bringing Americans together—not as Republicans or Democrats, but as neighbors.
To everyone who visited this website, watched a video, read about the project, responded to an email, offered advice, or simply took a few minutes to listen: thank you.
For now, America Breathes 2028™ is GONE FISHING.
The project is being placed on pause because the volunteer participation, committed media support, college partnerships, and organizational relationships needed to responsibly move it forward have not developed at the level required.
But the website is staying here.
I invite you to explore it. Read about the Stable Address Initiative. Watch the videos. Look through the ideas and research. Share something that speaks to you on social media.
Maybe this project simply reached the water before everyone else brought their fishing poles.
And maybe somewhere, someone will read one page, watch one video, or hear one idea and say, “This is worth doing.”
If that happens, perhaps America Breathes 2028™ won't be gone fishing forever.
Until then—thank you for listening, thank you for visiting, and thank you for caring about where our country goes next.
